Meet our Team

Linley Steele

Great People Recruitment’s Founder and Director, Linley Steele, brings over 30 years of extensive experience in recruiting staff and developing teams across various private and publicly funded industries. Her journey began in Healthcare as a Registered Nurse at the largest hospital in NZ. As a Health Manager, Linley was passionate about recruiting great staff and managing a large team of Health Care Professionals and she played a key role in Change Management, which led her to opportunities overseas.

Transitioning into the Recruitment Industry in London, Linley initially focused on healthcare recruitment before broadening her expertise to include temporary, contract, and permanent placements in office support, finance, accounting, and project roles across diverse business sectors. 

Upon returning to New Zealand, Linley supported an internal recruitment team at a major bank and worked with a national Executive Search Company. Her experience spans recruiting for various banking roles, high-volume and graduate recruitment, and specialising in project roles related to risk management and procedure and policy documentation.

Linley’s comprehensive understanding of the recruitment process, attention to detail, and commitment to high-quality customer and client service make her a trusted leader in the industry. Linley values and places great importance on the insightful feedback from clients and candidates to drive process improvements.

Mike Steele 

Mike Steele, Director & Business Manager at Great People Recruitment, brings extensive experience and a vast network, having accumulated years of executive expertise in Finance, Commercial Accounting, and Chartered Accountancy both in New Zealand and internationally.

Mike possesses firsthand experience in recruiting and building teams, particularly within the manufacturing sector and the New Zealand dairy industry. Additionally, he has a comprehensive understanding of strategy, general management, and people management. He has also served as Treasurer for local community boards and committees.
